We are seeking an SCM Contract Professional with a passion for performance and improvement. Ideally, you have experience with Drilling & Wells (D&W) and Intervention contracts, particularly those with compensation models that foster win-win solutions and reward value-creating work.
The Supply Chain Management (SCM) Professional Contracts role is part of the SCM Drilling and Wells (D&W) and Expres team, reporting to the SCM Manager for D&W/Expres. The primary objective of this role is to support the development and implementation of long-term strategies for alliances, services, and equipment needed to sustain the Drilling & Wells team’s long-range activity plan. Additionally, the role focuses on improving contracts, templates, and processes, as well as supporting the Supply Chain Manager in market analysis and forecasting.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct demand analysis and plan D&W’s requirements across all assets.
- Monitor supplier markets with support from the SCM Analyst for the designated category.
- Execute category and procurement strategies, manage and lead sourcing processes, plan and lead negotiations, evaluate and prepare recommendations for awards, and finalize contracting.
- Manage a portfolio of contracts to meet the long-range plan.
- Support the D&W Alliance implementation process and performance management.
- Develop and maintain effective supplier management relationships.
- Facilitate the “Manage Supplier” process with the Contract Accountable Manager to drive performance, focusing on HSE, Quality, Productivity, and One Team.
- Ensure compliance with SCM processes.
- Collaborate closely with the Supply Chain Manager and Lead in negotiating contractual terms and drafting contracts.
- Define best practices for contract excellence and establish metrics to demonstrate improvement.
- Continuously strive to improve SCM operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work collaboratively to provide high-quality customer service.
Required Expertise:
- Minimum of 4 years of higher education, preferably a Master’s degree (e.g., MSc, MBA) in Purchasing, Contracts, or another relevant field. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
- At least 5 years of relevant O&G Contract Management experience, with a minimum of 2 years in strategic sourcing (Contracts).
