Possibilities for extension in Norway after finished assignment in Dubai.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and witness manufacturing activities to ensure compliance with relevant standards and procedures on behalf of the company.
  • Review procedures, Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), and Quality Control (QC) plans.
  • Evaluate material and manufacturing records and reports.
  • Follow up on Welding Procedure Qualifications (WPQ), Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), and welder qualification records.
  • Assess the performance of contractors and subcontractors.
  • Monitor general fabrication and construction activities as outlined in marked-up ITPs.
  • Verify Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) performance and reporting.
  • Witness mechanical testing.
  • Ensure traceability, marking, and identification of materials.
  • Witness final inspections.
  • Review final documentation.
  • Provide input and advice on process-related aspects of the overall completion strategy and planning.
  • Advise contractors and other resources supplying services, materials, or equipment for process systems completion.
  • Witness contractor and supplier tests as necessary (FAT/SAT).
  • Facilitate a smooth transition from project to commissioning/operations.

Required Experience:

  • Relevant engineering degree, Technical College, or equivalent education. Relevant experience can substitute for formal education.
  • Strong communication skills with over 10 years of relevant work experience and a background in construction supervision.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Mechanical Completion (MC) and commissioning processes.
  • Preferred competence in Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) – Radiographic Testing (RT), Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), and Ultrasonic Testing (UT) interpretation within ISO 9712.
  • Experience working abroad is preferred.
  • Familiarity with NORSOK principles and standards.
  • Ability to foster a strong HSSEQ culture.

Language: Good understanding oral and written Norwegian and English.
