Job Responsibilities:
- Study and Estimation: Conduct studies and prepare estimates for project requirements.
- Documentation and Drawings: Create and update documentation including telecom block diagrams, loop diagrams, and plot plans.
- Revision: Review and revise existing documentation and drawings as needed.
- Work Packages: Develop work packages for installation activities.
- Discipline Checks: Perform discipline checks and approve all project-related documents and drawings.
- Material Ordering: Order all telecom materials (both bulk and equipment) required for offshore installations.
- Interface Knowledge: Understand general interfaces with instrumentation, electrical, and automation systems.
- Cross-Discipline Understanding: Interpret and integrate drawings from various disciplines.
- Client and Vendor Interaction: Engage with client and vendor representatives to identify and implement optimal technical solutions.
Required Education:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications.
Required Work Experience:
- 5 to 7 years of experience in offshore projects and studies.
- Familiarity with relevant standards such as NPD, ATEX, IEC61892, and NORSOK.
- Experience with modifications on operational offshore installations.
- Expertise in telecommunication systems, including cables, fibers, LAN, WAN, TMS, etc.
- Knowledge of PA systems, emergency battery systems, and CCTV systems.
- Understanding of ICT security and network topology.
- Experience with instrument and electrical equipment used in the oil industry.
- Valid Norwegian offshore and health certificates.
- Proficiency with Equinor systems for engineering tasks, such as STIDtag, STIDdoc, and STIDloop.
- Experience with Aibel systems such as Proark and PIMS.
- Familiarity with Equinor Technical Requirements (TRs) related to Telecom.

- Certificates:
- Basic EX Course: 22.5 hours in the classroom or 8 hours online.
- FSE High and Low Voltage with First Aid.
