As a materials engineer, you will engage in both study and detailed design projects. This role entails taking on the discipline responsibility for materials within the project.

Key duties include:

• Evaluating optimal material solutions for pipes, valves, and equipment
• Overseeing procurement packages and supplier relations
• Conducting discipline checks of certificates and procedures for materials, welding, NDT, and surface treatment
• Providing advice and evaluations on materials and corrosion-related damage mechanisms
• Creating documentation and reports

Required Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in materials technology or a related field
• Significant relevant experience can substitute for formal education

Required Work Experience:

• 5-10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry
• Experience with maintenance and modification work

Required Qualifications:

• Knowledge of offshore process systems
• Strong understanding of relevant regulations and standards, such as PTIL, NORSOK, and API standards
